Maintaining your Professional Edge
When it comes to caring for your handcrafted Joewell shears, you should not cut corners. Maintain its superior professional performance by following these simple steps:

Cut Hair Only
Cutting paper or anything else will dull or nick the blades and may cause
permanent, un-repairable damage.

Avoid Hard Objects
Hard objects such as clips, combs, brushes and rollers can nick or damage the blades. After each haircut, be sure to wipe your blades with a dry towel.

Avoid Chemicals
If your shears ever come in contact with chemicals, rinse immediately with hot water then dry thoroughly with a clean towel. Gently wipe blades and body with a clean cloth. Be careful not to cut yourself through the cloth while wiping.

Lubricate Pivot Area
At least once a week put (1) drop of oil or silicone lubricant on the screw and pivot area. Open the blades and add (1) drop of oil in the inner edge of each blade

Shear Storage
When not in use, your shears should be wiped clean of any hair or product residue stored in a safe, dry location, out of reach of children. We strongly recommend you store your shears in the shear case provided with the purchase of your shears.

All new Joewell shears are covered by our New Shear Limited Warranty. It covers any defects in material or workmanship for the entire life of your Joewell shears.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the defective product(s) by following these instructions:
   1. Notify us within 30 days of claimed defect.
   2. Use a padded envelope for shipping.
   3. Enclose your proof of purchase.
   4. Enclose a note describing the problem.
   5. Insure your package for the proper value of the shears.
